Solar PV Calculator

Use this calculator to estimate your maximum energy production and potential savings each year by installing a solar power system (PV). Simply enter the size of the system, your current electricity price and daily consumption.

Simply fill in the blue textfields and click submit.

Without a Renewable Energy System

Notes: Results from this calculator are based on solar panels located in the greater Sydney area, and operating under optimal to year depending on weather conditions. (ie. free from shading, north-facing and angled at around 30 degrees to horizontal). Actual solar energy production will vary from year to year depending on weather conditions.

The amount of excess energy sold back to the electricity grid will vary depending on your electricity consumption during daytime hours when the solar generator is operating. This calculator assumes that one third of your solar energy production is exported back to the electricity grid, and two thirds is consumed within your premises.

The Gross Feed In Tariff has been set by the State Government.
